The Realme GT 7 Pro has made quite a splash in the world of flagship Android smartphones, largely due to its impressive 6,500mAh Titan Battery. It’s a powerhouse that claims it can fully charge in just 37 minutes thanks to the inclusion of a 120W SuperVOOC power brick. However, it seems Realme has bigger and bolder plans for its next release.
Anticipation is building around the GT 8 Pro, with rumors suggesting that Realme is contemplating a significant battery upgrade. According to a reliable source, the new model might sport a 7,000mAh battery. Even though this upgrade might extend the 120W charging time to 42 minutes, it’s still remarkably fast for the capacity.
But that’s not where the excitement ends. There’s chatter about an even more substantial battery option for the GT 8 Pro—possibly a 7,500mAh version. If this is the case, it might use a slightly slower 100W SuperVOOC charging, taking up to 55 minutes to charge fully.
In another interesting twist, the GT 8 Pro could push the boundaries further with an 8,000mAh battery. Although charging speed would decrease with this larger battery, using an 80W charger, it might necessitate a 70-minute charging time.
These potential upgrades could make Realme’s devices known for their massive battery capacities, presumably leveraging the latest silicon-carbon anode technology like their current Titan Battery. However, the lack of wireless charging, a feature present in competitors like the OnePlus 13 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, might still pose a challenge. Nonetheless, Realme’s focus on large, rapid-charging batteries might be a game-changer in the flagship smartphone market, appealing to those who prioritize battery life above all else.
