Realme has just launched the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition in China, adding a touch of innovation to their flagship lineup. This new variant diverges slightly from its standard counterpart with distinctive features in the camera, display, storage, and battery arenas. Under the hood, both the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition and its regular sibling are powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with the Adreno GPU, promising top-notch performance.
For fans of speedy connectivity, this 5G-enabled handset offers a variety of storage and RAM configurations: you can choose from 12 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 512 GB, 16 GB + 256 GB, or 16 GB + 512 GB combinations. This makes it flexible for those needing more storage for apps, photos, and other media.
The camera setup sees an interesting shift. The Racing Edition sports a dual rear camera, housing a 50 MP primary lens with Optical Image Stabilization and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, while the telephoto lens from the standard model is unfortunately absent. Selfie enthusiasts will still find the 16 MP front camera handy for crisp selfies and video calls.
Diving into the visual experience, this flagship smartphone showcases a 6.78-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO micro quad-curved OLED display, boasting an impressive peak brightness of 6000 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Its vibrant display also supports Dolby Vision and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, offering a feast for the eyes. And, it’s perfectly built for the adventurous with an IP68 + IP69 rating against water and dust. Color choices of Star Trail Titanium and Neptune Explorer Edition add allure with their blue finishes.
A sizable 6,500 mAh battery backs up the power needs of this device and supports rapid 120 W fast charging, although it’s worth noting that wireless charging is not available for this model. Operating on Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 ensures a smooth user experience, though the company hasn’t confirmed future software updates just yet.
For tech aficionados, additional features include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, ultra-linear dual speakers enhanced with Hi-Res and OReality audio, and an innovative 11,480 mm² dual-chamber vapor cooling system to keep things running smoothly. Its sleek design, measuring 162.4 x 76.8 x 8.5 mm and weighing in at 218 grams, strikes a balance between form and function.
Price-wise, the Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition begins at CNY 3,099 (approximately $425/€405) for the base model, scaling up to CNY 3,699 (roughly $550/€525) for the premium variant. It’s already up for grabs in China through official Realme channels and other authorized sellers. Global fans will have to wait, as Realme remains tight-lipped about international availability for now.
