Exciting developments are on the horizon for Realme enthusiasts, particularly those in Malaysia and possibly even in China. While the Malaysian version of the Realme 14x might have left some longing for the impressively specced Indian model, there’s more news coming from the brand that could stir mixed reactions.
An even more stripped-down version of the Realme 14x is apparently being prepared for release, with certification from TENAA suggesting it could be aimed at the Chinese market. This new iteration is set to support 5G and features a processor clocked at 2.4GHz, similar to the existing Dimensity 6300 found in other 14x models. However, it will continue the trend of reduced battery capacity seen in the Malaysian edition, offering a 5,000mAh battery instead of the 6,000mAh powerhouse found in India’s variant.
Where the device takes a notable turn is in its camera department. It steps back to a 13MP rear camera, alongside an 8MP front-facing camera, diverging from even the “50MP AI” single-camera setup seen in other versions. Aesthetic changes follow, with the device dressed in a dark blue finish not previously seen on the 4G/LTE-only variant.
Intriguingly, the new model is associated with two distinct model numbers, RMX3946 and RMX3948, hinting at possible RAM configurations ranging from 4GB to a substantial 12GB. Also, storage options could leap from 128GB to a potentially massive 1TB, broadening the appeal slightly beyond the Indian model’s limitations.
These potential variations offer a mixed bag of features and possibilities, promising options for those seeking budget-friendly flexibility in storage and RAM, despite the downgrades in camera and battery specifications. Keep your eyes peeled for official announcements, as Realme continues to diversify its offerings in global markets.
