In Germany, AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs have been gaining traction, although not all RX 9000 models are flying off the shelves. The RX 9070 XT, however, is a standout, nearly matching the collective sales of NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series.
A major hardware retailer in Germany recently shed light on consumer preferences. Customers have shown a strong inclination toward AMD’s RX 9070 XT over NVIDIA’s offerings, with data indicating that the RX 9070 XT sold around 640 units last week. On the other hand, the NVIDIA RTX 5080 emerged as the best-seller among the RTX 50 series, benefiting from significant price cuts that brought it to just over 1000 Euros. Despite these price adjustments, AMD’s RX 9070 XT continues to lead in sales, with the RX 9060 XT following closely.
Tech data shows that 97% of the RX 9060 XT’s sales were of the 16 GB variety, with the 8 GB model moving less than 10 units. The RX 9070 non-XT struggled, moving just 20 units, largely due to poor pricing strategies by AMD. Overall, 16 GB VRAM models dominated 78.5% of sales, showing a clear preference among consumers.
XFX and PowerColor have emerged as the favorite brands among German buyers, holding a significant portion of the market share for AMD cards. In areas where NVIDIA has a stronger presence, brands like ASUS, GIGABYTE, and MSI are more prevalent, highlighting regional differences in brand popularity.
