During Qualcomm Investor Day, although no specific announcements were made, the company hinted at the expansion of its product range. Interestingly, these new offerings will include a 45 TOPS NPU, much like their more advanced Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite counterparts.
Rumors have been buzzing about a possible new entry-level tier chip that will purportedly be branded as the Snapdragon X. This chip is speculated to sit below the currently known Snapdragon X Plus 8-core, presenting a more affordable option.
Whispers in the tech community suggest Qualcomm is working on at least three different Snapdragon X chipsets, identified as the X1P-24-100, X1P-39-100, and X1P-40-100. While there is no certainty that all these chips will make it to the market, it’s clear that Qualcomm is expanding its horizons.
Interestingly, while some rumored models like the X1P-56-100 and X1P-62-100 have not yet materialized, the anticipation remains high.
