Poco X8 Power debuts with a huge 10,000 mAh battery, Android 16, and a bright AMOLED display
Poco has introduced the Poco X8 Power, a new mid-range smartphone built for users who want long battery life, a vivid display, and dependable software support without stepping into flagship pricing. The highlight is its massive 10,000 mAh battery, making it one of the more eye-catching options for buyers who prioritize endurance for gaming, streaming, travel, and all-day productivity.
The Poco X8 Power comes with a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate. This should make scrolling, animations, and supported games feel smoother than on standard 60 Hz panels. The screen also reaches a peak HDR brightness of 3,500 nits, which is especially useful for outdoor visibility and watching high dynamic range content with stronger highlights and deeper contrast.
For photography, the phone includes a 50-megapixel main camera paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. This setup gives users flexibility for everyday shots, landscapes, group photos, and wider scenes. On the front, Poco has equipped the device with a 32-megapixel selfie camera, aimed at sharper video calls, social media content, and portrait-style selfies.
On the software side, the Poco X8 Power ships with Android 16 out of the box. The device is also expected to receive at least four major Android version updates, along with security patches for six years. That long update window could make the phone more appealing to buyers who want to keep their device for several years without quickly falling behind on software features or security protection.
The Poco X8 Power will launch first in India. The base model, featuring 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, is priced at ₹32,999, which is roughly $349. A higher-storage version with 256 GB will be available for ₹35,999, or about $381.
Poco has not yet confirmed details for a wider international release. However, given the brand’s history with global mid-range smartphones, the Poco X8 Power could attract attention in other markets if it launches outside India, especially among users looking for a powerful battery-focused phone with a premium AMOLED display and long-term software support.
