Poco F9 Ultra Leak Reveals Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 16GB RAM, and Android 16
Fresh leaks suggest Poco is preparing a powerful new flagship smartphone, and the Poco F9 Ultra could be one of the brand’s most performance-focused releases yet. A prototype believed to be the Poco F9 Ultra has appeared in a Geekbench 7 listing, revealing impressive benchmark results and key hardware details ahead of its official launch.
According to the listing, the device scored 2,980 points in single-core testing and 10,030 points in multi-core performance. Those numbers point to a high-end Android phone built for demanding users, especially mobile gamers, heavy multitaskers, and anyone looking for flagship-level speed.
The leaked benchmark shows the Poco F9 Ultra running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM. While this may be one of the top configurations, other RAM and storage options are likely to be offered when the phone officially arrives. The device is also shown running Android 16.
If the Poco F9 Ultra launches soon, it may ship with Android 16 out of the box, even though Android 17 is already available. Xiaomi and its sub-brands have often taken a cautious approach when rolling out the newest Android versions on launch-day devices, so this would not be surprising.
One of the biggest rumors surrounding the Poco F9 Ultra is that it could be based on the Redmi K100 Pro Max. However, leaks suggest there may be one notable difference: the Poco version could feature a slightly smaller 8,050mAh battery. Even with that adjustment, the battery capacity would still be huge compared to most flagship smartphones and should offer excellent endurance.
The rest of the expected specifications look just as ambitious. The Poco F9 Ultra is rumored to feature a large 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 1200 x 2608 resolution, a super-smooth 185Hz refresh rate, and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. If accurate, this screen could make the device especially appealing for gaming, streaming, and outdoor use.
The camera setup may also be a major selling point. Leaks claim the Poco F9 Ultra could include a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with optical image stabilization and 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone is expected to offer a 32MP front-facing camera.
That combination would put the Poco F9 Ultra in a strong position against other premium Android phones, especially if Poco manages to keep pricing competitive. A 200MP main sensor, periscope zoom lens, flagship Snapdragon chip, massive battery, and high-refresh-rate AMOLED display could make it one of the most feature-packed Poco phones to date.
For now, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the Poco F9 Ultra, Poco F9 Pro, release date, pricing, or final specifications. However, with leaks increasing and benchmark listings starting to appear, an announcement could be getting closer.
If the leaked details are accurate, the Poco F9 Ultra may arrive as a true performance flagship with serious gaming power, a massive display, long battery life, and a high-resolution camera system designed to compete with far more expensive smartphones.
