MSI Cubi NUC WCG Mini PC Debuts With Intel Wildcat Lake CPUs and Up to 64GB DDR5 RAM
MSI has expanded its compact desktop lineup with the Cubi NUC WCG, a new ultra-small mini PC built around Intel’s latest Wildcat Lake processors. Designed for users who want a space-saving computer without giving up modern connectivity, the Cubi NUC WCG packs a surprising amount of hardware into a chassis measuring just 0.55 liters.
The compact size is clearly one of the main attractions. This mini PC is aimed at offices, home workstations, retail setups, digital signage, education environments, and users who simply want a clean desk with minimal cable clutter. Its slim black enclosure keeps the design simple and professional, making it easy to place behind a monitor, under a desk, or in tight spaces where a traditional desktop would be impractical.
At the heart of the Cubi NUC WCG are Intel Wildcat Lake processors, with several configurations available depending on performance needs. Buyers can choose from the Intel Core 3 304, Core 5 315, or Core 7 350.
The Intel Core 3 304 comes with five cores, combining one performance core with four efficiency cores. This entry-level option should be more than capable of handling everyday computing tasks such as web browsing, document editing, email, video calls, and light multitasking. It is also expected to deliver performance in the same general range as AMD’s Ryzen 3 5300U, making it a sensible choice for basic office and home use.
For users who need more speed, the Intel Core 5 315 steps things up with six cores, including two performance cores and four efficiency cores. This processor should offer a noticeable performance boost over the Core 3 model, especially when juggling multiple apps or working with slightly heavier workloads.
The top option, the Intel Core 7 350, also uses a six-core configuration. While it is only slightly faster than the Core 5 version, it gives buyers another choice for more demanding productivity tasks. The Core 5 and Core 7 models will likely appeal to users who want a compact PC that can handle more than just basic computing.
Memory and storage are also strong points for a system this small. The MSI Cubi NUC WCG supports dual DDR5 SODIMM memory slots with capacity up to 64GB of RAM. That makes it suitable for multitasking-heavy environments and users who want better long-term flexibility. Storage is handled through a single M.2 2280 NVMe slot, allowing for fast SSD performance and easy upgrades.
MSI has also made maintenance more convenient with tool-less access. This means users can open the system more easily for upgrades or servicing without dealing with a complicated disassembly process. For businesses and IT departments managing multiple systems, that can be a major advantage.
Connectivity is another highlight of the Cubi NUC WCG. Despite its tiny footprint, the mini PC includes a generous selection of ports. It comes with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, four USB 2.0 Type-A ports, a 20Gbps USB Type-C port, and Thunderbolt 4 support with DisplayPort 2.1, 15W power delivery, and 98W power input. It also features both 2.5Gb Ethernet and 1Gb Ethernet, dual HDMI 2.1 outputs, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.
That port selection makes the system useful for multi-display workstations, wired networking setups, and office environments where legacy USB accessories are still common. The inclusion of dual Ethernet is especially useful for business, security, networking, and industrial applications.
MSI has not yet confirmed official pricing or availability for the Cubi NUC WCG. Based on its processor options, compact build, DDR5 memory support, and strong connectivity, it is expected to land in the upper mid-range mini PC segment. Final pricing will likely depend heavily on the chosen processor, RAM capacity, and storage configuration.
With its compact 0.55-liter chassis, Intel Wildcat Lake processor options, up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, tool-less upgrade access, and wide range of ports, the MSI Cubi NUC WCG looks like a practical choice for users who need a small but capable desktop PC. It may not be aimed at gaming or heavy workstation workloads, but for productivity, office use, digital signage, and compact home setups, it has the ingredients to become a strong mini PC option.
