Sony PS5 Pro Announcement Could Be Around the Corner
The latest buzz from Gamescom suggests an imminent announcement of the PlayStation 5 Pro. Rumors sparked when a journalist from an Italian website, Multiplayer, interacted with a developer who hinted at delaying their game’s release due to the upcoming launch of the PS5 Pro. Additional information came to light when it was said that the specifications for the new console have already reached some developers, highlighting potential performance improvements.
Historically, Sony launched the PS4 Pro three years after the PS4, in early September 2016. With the PS5 hitting the market in November 2020, expectations are high for a similar timeline for the upgraded version. According to yet another developer at Gamescom, the PS5 Pro is set to outshine its predecessor, particularly with the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. While exact specifications remain under wraps, earlier reports hint at a significant 45% performance boost.
Although no concrete launch date has been confirmed, industry analyst William R. Aguilar previously speculated that Sony might make an announcement in September, followed by a November release, mirroring the PS4 Pro’s timeline. As of now, all eyes are on Sony for an official statement.
