Google’s upcoming flagship, the Pixel 10 Pro, has surfaced online, unable to escape the ever-curious eyes of tech enthusiasts. A prototype, reportedly the premium model of the new lineup, has been spotted, giving us a sneak peek into its design and internals.
Surprisingly, the 10 Pro doesn’t stray far from its predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro, in terms of design. The lack of major visual changes might disappoint fans hoping for a fresh look. However, it does boast a more pronounced camera bump, suggesting a slimmer body overall. This prototype, snapped on a Chinese social media platform, ‘coolapk,’ by Mystic Leaks and further detailed by Android Authority, offers a tantalizing glimpse into what’s under the hood.
The heart of the Pixel 10 Pro, the Tensor G5 chip, might raise some eyebrows. While expectations were high for cutting-edge advancements, its specifications reveal a familiar setup: an 8-core CPU featuring one Cortex-X4 core, two Cortex-A725 cores, three additional A725 cores, and two power-efficient Cortex-A520 cores. Despite an app calling it a 5nm SoC, the widespread belief is that Google plans to use TSMC’s advanced 3nm process for mass production.
Internally, the Pixel 10 Pro prototype packs 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, running a non-QPR1 variant of Android 16, which might intrigue software aficionados.
While the initial looks might seem underwhelming, the possibility remains for Google to introduce subtle aesthetic changes before the official release. Until then, tech lovers will have to wait patiently as more updates are expected to roll out before the big reveal later this year. Stay tuned!
