Philips is giving its retro-styled wireless on-ear headphones a fresh new look, announcing a bold new colorway for The Ringo as part of its revived Moving Sound collection. If you love classic 1980s design but still want modern wireless features, this update is designed to hit that sweet spot—without costing much.
First introduced last year as part of Philips’ 2000 series of wireless on-ear headphones, The Ringo has been sold in three colors: Black, Teal, and White. Now, Philips is bringing the spotlight back with an eye-catching, 80s-inspired refresh that fits neatly into the comeback of its Moving Sound audio lineup from the 1980s.
The new version is called the Philips The Ringo Duo, and it arrives in a bright yellow color scheme built to stand out. The design leans hard into retro flair: an adjustable silver headband, black earcups, mint green physical buttons, and a neon pink cable connecting the earcups. Philips is also carrying these same playful colors across the wider Moving Sound range, helping the collection feel cohesive and intentionally styled.
While the look is new, the feature set remains the same as the standard Ringo. The Ringo Duo uses 40mm drivers and supports Bluetooth 5.4, including Bluetooth Multipoint for connecting to more than one device at a time. Battery life is rated for up to 26 hours, and there’s fast charging to help you get listening again quickly.
For calls, the headphones include a dedicated microphone along with a noise-reduction algorithm designed to cut down on background noise. Another bonus is USB-C audio support, which gives you an additional way to listen beyond wireless. Through the Philips Headphones app, users can fine-tune the sound, enable a dynamic boost feature, and keep the headphones up to date with firmware updates.
Philips says The Ringo Duo will arrive in the second quarter of 2026, priced at €35. If you like the same headphone features and don’t need the new colorway, the standard Philips The Ringo is already available in its existing colors at a lower price in some markets.
