The Oukitel BT20 smartwatch emerges as a versatile fitness tracker, boasting the capability to monitor more than 100 different sports, according to the manufacturer’s claim. Despite this extensive range, users will initially find only eight predefined sports modes on the device itself. To access the additional sports tracking features, one must use the FitCloudPro app to download these workouts onto the smartwatch.
During workout sessions, the Oukitel BT20 places a strong emphasis on recording the duration of exercise, showcasing training time prominently on its large display. However, other metrics such as heart rate are presented in a much smaller format. Importantly, the smartwatch does not provide live heart rate zone classification; this information is only available within the app following the completion of training.
While the software delves into more specific details like stride length, cadence, and pace for activities such as running, its functionality appears limited in other sports. For instance, when cycling, the smartwatch primarily reports on time and average heart rate, omitting other potentially valuable data. Moreover, although jogging activities can include tracking for route and distance, there is no option to view this data on a map.
Accessing records of completed workouts is straightforward on the Oukitel BT20 itself, though the range of data displayed is truncated compared to what is available within the app. Interestingly, during certain activities, such as gymnastics, the device may inadvertently log incorrect entries due to button presses.
As for workout customization, the BT20 shows some limitations. It does not support automatic recognition and recording of different workouts. Furthermore, users will discover neither the ability to set personal training goals nor the availability of preconfigured training regimens, like interval workouts, within the watch or its accompanying app.
In sum, the Oukitel BT20 positions itself as a large-display smartwatch suited for outdoor enthusiasts and sports aficionados. Nonetheless, it may leave some users desiring more depth and flexibility in its workout-tracking programs and data management capabilities.
