Origin Code Unveils Vortex DDR5 Kit With Built-In LCD and Liquid Cooling Ahead of Computex 2026

Origin Code is getting ready to spotlight a new addition to its Vortex DDR5 memory family at Computex 2026, and it’s clearly aimed at enthusiasts who care about both speed and thermals.

The latest release is a 48 GB DDR5 kit made up of two 24 GB modules, rated for 6200 MT/s with a tight CL28 latency. Hitting 6200 MT/s at CL28 is an impressive pairing of frequency and responsiveness, and Origin Code positions this kit as a strong option for users who want high performance without sacrificing low-latency behavior.

For those who like to push their systems further, the kit also supports Dual EXPO Profiles, with a P2 profile that can reach up to 8000 MT/s at CL36. That kind of headroom can be appealing for a wide range of workloads, from high-FPS gaming to heavier professional tasks, including content creation and AI-related operations.

The new 48 GB kit joins a broader Vortex lineup that already includes multiple capacities. Origin Code offers options such as 32 GB (2×16 GB), 96 GB (2×48 GB), 192 GB (4×48 GB), and 256 GB (4×64 GB), generally targeting the 6000 to 6200 MT/s range with CL26 to CL30 timings depending on the kit.

Alongside the memory, Origin Code is also introducing a new Vortex Water Block designed to boost cooling performance compared to traditional air solutions. According to the company, the water block can improve heat dissipation efficiency by up to 50%, dropping average operating temperatures from around 66°C to about 31°C when the memory is running at nearly 1.55V. Previously, the higher-end cooling option for this setup was limited to a triple-fan solution, so this is a notable step toward more serious liquid-cooled builds.

The Vortex Water Block uses a dual-inlet, single-outlet flow layout and standard G1/4 threading to keep it compatible with common custom loop components. It also includes a built-in LCD with a 178-degree wide viewing angle, a 222×480 resolution, and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The display is intended for real-time system monitoring and hardware stats, adding a visual, enthusiast-focused feature to the cooling hardware.

Origin Code plans to showcase the new Vortex 48 GB DDR5-6200 CL28 kit and the Vortex Water Block at Computex 2026 as part of its latest Vortex DDR5 lineup. Pricing and availability haven’t been announced yet.
