Oppo A7 Pro 5G launches globally with 8,000mAh battery, 120Hz AMOLED display, and rugged protection
Oppo has expanded its global smartphone lineup with the international launch of the Oppo A7 Pro 5G. After first arriving in China, the device is now listed on Oppo’s global website and is available in markets such as Malaysia and Thailand.
Positioned below the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G, the A7 Pro 5G aims to deliver strong battery life, a smooth display, durable protection, and reliable 5G performance at a more accessible price point.
The Oppo A7 Pro 5G features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 2,372 × 1,080 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This should make everyday use feel smoother, whether scrolling through social media, browsing the web, streaming videos, or playing supported games. The AMOLED panel also helps deliver richer colors and deeper contrast compared to standard LCD screens.
One of the biggest highlights of the phone is its large 8,000mAh battery. That capacity puts it well above many mainstream smartphones and should appeal to users who want longer usage between charges. The phone supports 45W wired charging, along with 10W wired reverse charging, allowing it to power other compatible devices in a pinch.
For comparison, the higher-end A7 Pro Max 5G comes with a larger 6.78-inch display and an even bigger 10,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. However, the regular A7 Pro 5G still offers a strong combination of endurance and features for users who prefer a slightly more compact and lighter option.

On the back, the Oppo A7 Pro 5G includes a dual-camera system led by a 50MP main camera, joined by a 2MP monochrome sensor. In Malaysia, the phone is priced at MYR 1,599, around $391, for the 6GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs MYR 1,799, around $440.
