Oppo Find N7 leak hints at two camera designs, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, and a massive battery
Oppo may already be preparing its next big foldable phone, and early leaks suggest the upcoming Oppo Find N7 could bring meaningful upgrades in design, performance, and battery life. While the device is still believed to be in early development, the latest information gives us a first look at what Oppo might be planning for its next-generation foldable flagship.
The Oppo Find N6 arrived in March 2026 as a premium foldable smartphone, and its successor is now expected to continue that flagship direction. According to a new leak from a well-known Chinese tipster, Oppo is currently testing two different rear camera designs for the Find N7.
One prototype reportedly keeps the large circular camera module seen on the Find N6, giving the phone a familiar flagship look. The second design is said to feature a pill-shaped camera housing, which would mark a noticeable change in Oppo’s foldable design language. At this stage, it is unclear which version will make it to the final retail model, but the fact that Oppo is testing multiple designs suggests the company may be aiming for a more refined and distinctive look.
Performance could be one of the biggest highlights of the Oppo Find N7. The foldable is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, also known by the model number SM8950. This chip is expected to be part of Qualcomm’s next wave of high-end mobile processors and may be built on an advanced 2nm process.
Qualcomm is rumored to be preparing two versions of its next flagship chip: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The standard model is expected to feature an Adreno 845 GPU and support LPDDR5X memory, while the Pro version may offer a stronger Adreno 850 GPU and LPDDR6 RAM support. Based on the current leak, the Oppo Find N7 is expected to use the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 rather than the Pro variant.
Battery life may also see a major improvement. The leak claims the Oppo Find N7 could feature a battery in the 6,000mAh range, with early plans reportedly targeting around 6,500mAh. If this makes it into the final device, it would be a significant upgrade for a foldable phone, where battery size is often limited by the complex hinge and dual-screen design.
A larger battery could make the Find N7 especially appealing to users who want a foldable phone that can handle heavy multitasking, gaming, video streaming, and productivity without needing frequent charging. Combined with a more efficient 2nm chipset, the phone could offer better endurance than its predecessor.
