OnePlus N6 Lite Set to Launch in India on September 22 With 7,000mAh Battery and 120Hz Display
OnePlus is preparing to expand its budget smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the OnePlus N6 Lite on September 22, 2026. The upcoming handset is expected to sit below the OnePlus N6 and OnePlus N6x, making it the most affordable model in the company’s N series.
The N series is aimed at buyers who want reliable performance, long battery life, and modern features without paying premium smartphone prices. With the N6x currently starting at INR 20,999, the N6 Lite could attract attention from users looking for a more accessible OnePlus phone in India.
Ahead of the official launch, OnePlus has shared early details about the N6 Lite through its official website. The phone will be available in two color options: black and green. Its design includes a square-shaped rear camera module, giving it a clean and familiar modern look.
One of the standout features confirmed for the OnePlus N6 Lite is its 120Hz display. This higher refresh rate should make scrolling, animations, and supported games feel smoother compared to standard 60Hz screens, which is a welcome feature in the budget smartphone segment.
Battery life is also expected to be a major selling point. The OnePlus N6 Lite will pack a massive 7,000mAh battery, matching the capacity found in the N6x. This should make the phone appealing to heavy users who stream videos, browse the web, use social media, or play games for long periods without needing frequent charging.
In terms of performance, OnePlus has confirmed that the N6 Lite will be powered by an octa-core chipset. The device will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage. While these specifications suggest an entry-level configuration, the use of UFS 2.2 storage should help deliver better app loading and file transfer speeds than older storage types commonly found in low-cost smartphones.
The OnePlus N6 Lite is also built with durability in mind. The company says the phone carries an IP64 rating, offering protection against dust and splashes. It has also passed five MIL-STD-810H durability tests, which may help reassure buyers who want a device capable of handling everyday bumps and challenging conditions.
OnePlus has not yet revealed the complete specifications or official price of the N6 Lite. However, given its positioning below the N6x, the smartphone is expected to launch as one of the most competitively priced OnePlus devices in India.
With a 7,000mAh battery, 120Hz display, splash resistance, and durability testing, the OnePlus N6 Lite could become a strong option for budget-conscious buyers when it arrives on September 22.
