That lines up with earlier Geekbench information, which also pointed to the same chipset. In other words, the processor choice now appears to be essentially confirmed by multiple performance databases.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 sits in the “upper mid-range” category. It’s typically viewed as a cost-friendly alternative to last generation’s top Snapdragon silicon, aiming to hit a sweet spot between price and performance. This kind of chip may not be positioned as the absolute best of the best, but it’s designed to offer near-flagship responsiveness for gaming, multitasking, and everyday use without pushing the final phone price into premium territory.
What’s turning heads, though, is the benchmark score. The AnTuTu V11 listing for the OnePlus PLU110 shows an overall score of 2,609,327 points, using a configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. That’s a standout number for a device that isn’t expected to be marketed as a full flagship, and it suggests OnePlus may be tuning performance aggressively for this new Turbo identity.
Beyond raw speed, leaks also paint a picture of a phone built to impress on specs. The OnePlus Turbo is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a super-smooth 165 Hz refresh rate, which could appeal to mobile gamers and anyone who values fluid scrolling and animations. There’s also talk of a massive 9,000 mAh battery paired with fast charging support, plus a metal mid-frame that could add a more premium feel in the hand.
As for release timing, the OnePlus Turbo is expected to launch first in China around January 2026, with reports suggesting a global release may follow afterward. If these early details hold true, OnePlus could be preparing a performance-focused phone that targets buyers who want top-level speed, a high-refresh OLED screen, and exceptional battery capacity—without necessarily paying flagship pricing.
