OnePlus has officially added a new option to its Turbo lineup with the OnePlus Turbo 6V, and it’s positioning the phone as a value-focused alternative without sacrificing the core features that matter most to buyers. In fact, many of the Turbo 6V’s headline specs match those of the more expensive Turbo 6, making it one of the more attention-grabbing midrange launches for anyone prioritizing battery life, fast charging, and a bright AMOLED display.
Camera hardware stays familiar between the two models. The OnePlus Turbo 6V comes with a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP monochrome sensor, and a 16 MP front-facing camera for selfies. That means you’re not being pushed into a major camera downgrade just because you’re choosing the cheaper version, which is often where brands cut corners.
Battery is another area where OnePlus is clearly leaning into “more for your money.” The Turbo 6V carries the same massive 9,000 mAh battery as its pricier sibling, paired with 80 W wired charging. For shoppers comparing phones in this price range, that combination is likely to be one of the biggest selling points, especially for users who stream, game, or spend long days away from a charger.
Display specs are also strong for this class. You get a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 2,772 x 1,272 resolution and peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits. The main difference is refresh rate: OnePlus limits the Turbo 6V to 144 Hz, while the Turbo 6 reaches 165 Hz. Even so, 144 Hz is still well into high-refresh territory, delivering smoother scrolling and responsive gameplay compared to typical 120 Hz panels.
Pricing is where the Turbo 6V becomes most competitive. The base version starts at CNY 1,899 (around $270) with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, dropping to CNY 1,699 (about $243) during the pre-sale period. OnePlus is also offering higher-memory configurations, including 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage for CNY 2,099 (around $300) and 12 GB RAM with 512 GB storage for CNY 2,399 (around $345). Pre-sale buyers can take an additional CNY 200 (roughly $29) off those higher-tier models.
For now, OnePlus hasn’t confirmed any international release plans, so availability outside its initial market remains unclear. Still, on paper, the OnePlus Turbo 6V looks designed to undercut rivals by delivering flagship-style battery capacity, fast charging, and a high-refresh AMOLED display at an aggressively midrange price.
