OnePlus has launched pre-orders for the Apex Edition, also known as the Collector’s Edition, of their Open model in Europe. This new iteration of their first-generation foldable Android smartphone features a fresh colorway and 1TB of internal storage, positioning it at a higher price point than the standard edition. However, it comes with limited-time promotional offers and free gifts.
A notable promotional offer introduces the OnePlus x Bang & Olufsen Collaboration A1 portable wireless speaker, which is included as a complimentary gift with the Open Apex Edition. This edition is distinguished as the sole version of OnePlus’s first 16GB RAM foldable flagship with double the standard storage and a distinctive Crimson Shadow colorway. Although this red vegan leather finish was already seen in its twin model, the OPPO Find N3, it adds a unique touch to the OnePlus lineup.
Priced at €1,999 (~$2,232), the Open Apex Edition is indeed costly. However, with an introductory coupon, the price can be reduced to €1,799. Additionally, buyers can choose alternative free gifts while supplies last, including a €329 OnePlus Watch 2 in black or a pair of the new €199 Buds Pro 3 in Lunar Radiance. The A1 speaker, which appears to be a version of the Beosound A1 valued at $299, is available in silver, adding more appeal to the pre-order package.
