Bang & Olufsen Launches a Luxury Qi2 Power Bank With Premium Glass and Aluminum Design
Bang & Olufsen is moving beyond its usual world of high-end headphones and speakers with a new premium magnetic power bank designed for users who care as much about style as they do about charging speed.
The new Bang & Olufsen Powerbank brings the brand’s signature design approach to a compact 5,000mAh portable charger. It supports Qi2 magnetic wireless charging at up to 15W and USB-C wired charging at up to 20W, making it suitable for compatible smartphones, headphones, and other everyday devices.
While the charging specifications are useful, the design is clearly the main attraction. Bang & Olufsen has given the power bank a glass finish, an aluminum frame, diamond-cut detailing, and pearl-blasted textures. The result is a more refined and luxurious look than the typical magnetic power bank on the market.
The accessory is designed to pair visually with the Beoplay H100 headphones and comes in two matching color options: Infinite Black and Hourglass Sand. Its compact size and premium materials make it feel more like a fashion-focused tech accessory than a standard battery pack.
For wireless charging, the power bank uses the Qi2 standard, offering up to 15W magnetic charging for compatible phones. It can also charge devices through USB-C at up to 20W, while the USB-C input supports up to 18W for recharging the power bank itself.
Bang & Olufsen says that just five minutes of charging can add up to 3.5 hours of extra playback time for the Beoplay H100 headphones. Beyond the brand’s own headphones, the power bank can also be used with regular USB-C devices and Qi2-compatible smartphones, including newer iPhone and Google Pixel models.
The biggest drawback is the price. The Bang & Olufsen Powerbank costs €145 in Europe and £125 in the UK, placing it among the most expensive 5,000mAh Qi2 magnetic power banks available. Competing brands such as Anker and Ugreen offer similar charging speeds and battery capacity for far less, often around the $50 to $60 range in the US.
Still, Bang & Olufsen is not aiming this product at budget shoppers. This power bank is built for users who want a premium portable charger that matches the look and feel of their high-end audio gear. For those already invested in the Bang & Olufsen ecosystem, it could be an elegant addition to a luxury tech setup.
