OnePlus Hints at a New Power-Driven Smartphone Built for Speed

OnePlus is gearing up to expand its performance-focused Ace lineup in China, and the company has already started building anticipation. In a recent post on Weibo, OnePlus President Li Jie Louis confirmed that a new Ace series smartphone is launching soon, though he stopped short of sharing the phone’s official name or full specifications.

The tease arrives shortly after OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 15T in China. That model positioned itself as a compact flagship with a 6.32-inch display and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, giving buyers a smaller high-end option. Now, attention is shifting to what could be the next big power-focused device in the Ace family.

For anyone unfamiliar with the Ace series, it’s OnePlus’ performance-oriented smartphone line, typically designed for speed, gaming, and high-end hardware value. The current Ace 6 series includes the OnePlus Ace 6 and the OnePlus Ace 6T. With this new teaser, it looks like the lineup is about to get another member—potentially an “Ultra” model.

According to recent leaks, the upcoming phone may be called the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, expected to follow last year’s Ace 5 Ultra. If the rumors prove accurate, the Ace 6 Ultra could bring a large 6.78-inch display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate—an eye-catching combination for mobile gaming, fast scrolling, and high-frame-rate content.

Performance may be the main headline. The device is tipped to run on the Dimensity 9500, described as a flagship octa-core chipset built on a 3nm process. That kind of next-gen manufacturing is typically associated with improved efficiency and stronger sustained performance—exactly the traits buyers look for in a “performance-centric” phone. Memory and storage options could also be generous, with leaks pointing to configurations up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

Another rumored standout is the battery. The phone is said to pack a massive 8,500mAh battery, which—if true—could put it among the more endurance-focused options in the flagship performance category. On the camera side, expectations are more straightforward, with talk of a dual rear camera system led by a 50MP main sensor.

For now, OnePlus hasn’t confirmed a release date, and official specs remain under wraps. Still, with the company publicly teasing the launch, it’s likely we’ll see more details soon—especially if this device is indeed the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra aimed at users who want top-tier speed, a high-refresh display, and a battery built to last.
