The OnePlus 15T is quickly turning into one of the most interesting upcoming compact smartphones, especially for buyers who want strong performance and capable cameras without paying ultra-premium prices. Although OnePlus has only officially confirmed that the OnePlus 15T exists, new leaks continue to fill in the details—most recently with a clearer look at the rear camera setup.
One earlier report claimed the OnePlus 15T could launch with either a 50MP IMX906 main sensor or a massive 200MP HP5 sensor, paired with a JN5 telephoto camera. That same leak also delivered some disappointing news for fans of versatile camera systems: there would be no ultrawide lens.
Now a new leak from Weibo user “Old Chen Air” points to a slightly different but more specific configuration. According to the post, the OnePlus 15T will use a wide-angle Sony LYTIA 700 sensor for the main camera, featuring an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). The telephoto camera is said to use a JN5 lens with an f/2.8 aperture, also with OIS. While the Weibo leak doesn’t mention megapixel counts, the OnePlus Club account on X claims both the main and telephoto cameras will be 50MP.
If accurate, that means the OnePlus 15T will again skip an ultrawide camera—something that may be a dealbreaker for users who love landscape and group shots, but could help OnePlus control costs and keep the phone focused on core imaging quality with stabilization on both lenses.
Interestingly, this camera arrangement sounds extremely similar to what’s been seen on the OnePlus 13T, suggesting OnePlus may be refining a proven compact formula rather than reinventing the hardware. Another important detail for shoppers outside China: the OnePlus 15T is expected to be the China variant, while the global version will likely be called the OnePlus 15s. While names may differ by region, the overall specifications are expected to remain largely the same.
Beyond cameras, previous leaks suggest the OnePlus 15T/OnePlus 15s could feature a 6.31-inch OLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate—an appealing combination for gaming, scrolling, and everyday responsiveness in a smaller form factor.
Performance is also rumored to be a major highlight. The device is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the same chipset anticipated for the flagship OnePlus 15. If this holds true, the OnePlus 15T could deliver true top-tier speed in a compact phone, which is still relatively rare in the market.
Battery specs look equally ambitious. Leaks point to a large 7,500mAh battery paired with 100W or even 120W fast charging. If OnePlus manages to fit that capacity into a compact design, it could be a standout option for users who want long battery life without moving up to a bigger phone.
For now, none of these details are fully official, but the repeated consistency across multiple leaks paints a clear picture: the OnePlus 15T (and its global sibling, the OnePlus 15s) is aiming to be a compact powerhouse with stabilized dual cameras, a high-refresh OLED display, flagship-level Snapdragon performance, and a battery spec that could be among the best in its class.
