NVIDIA’s New App to Fully Replace GeForce Experience This Year

Prepare to say goodbye to the GeForce Experience as NVIDIA plans to retire this iconic software later this year, marking the end of more than a decade of service. The change is part of a broader strategy to replace the GeForce Experience with the sleek, new NVIDIA App, loaded with enhanced features and capabilities.

NVIDIA has officially announced the phasing out of GeForce Experience in favor of the NVIDIA App, which has been under beta testing since its introduction earlier this year. The idea is to unify the capabilities of the Control Panel, GeForce Experience, and RTX Experience into one easy-to-navigate app.

Among the exciting new additions to the NVIDIA App is the introduction of G-Sync controls. Now part of the GPU Control Center, these controls allow users to enable G-Sync technology directly within the app, ensuring a tear-free gaming experience across multiple displays. The G-Sync settings can be found in the Display Settings section, where users can tweak resolution, refresh rate, and display orientation.

In line with offering more robust customizations, NVIDIA is also planning to bring additional features to the app such as surround options, custom resolutions, and multi-monitor setups, which were previously exclusive to the NVIDIA Control Panel.

The NVIDIA App doesn’t just stop at G-Sync controls. Another highly-anticipated feature is the RTX HDR Multi-Monitor Support, an AI-powered game filter designed to make visuals more vibrant and detailed. This game-changing update allows thousands of Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) games to benefit from HDR enhancements, all seamlessly activated through the same ALT+Z controls gamers are familiar with.

At present, only 12 out of the 50 most-played GeForce games support HDR. With RTX HDR, NVIDIA aims to significantly improve visual details across a broader array of games, making every play session more immersive and visually stunning.

User feedback has been instrumental in refining the NVIDIA App. Recent updates include improvements like a Heads Up Display, Optimal Settings accessible via the Graphics tab, and various other minor but impactful functionalities. All these upgrades aim to provide a smoother and more optimized user experience.

NVIDIA plans to transition all remaining GeForce Experience users to the NVIDIA App before the end of 2024. This means that GeForce Experience will officially sunset as the NVIDIA App moves out of its beta phase. Over the years, the GeForce Experience has been a cornerstone for millions of gamers, helping them download the latest drivers seamlessly and optimizing gaming performance according to their PC configurations.

Stay tuned for more updates from NVIDIA as they continue to integrate cutting-edge technology into their new app, making your gaming experience more effortless and enjoyable than ever before.
