Razer has unleashed its cutting-edge Basilisk-series mouse, with the spotlight on the new Focus Pro 35K Gen-2. This sensor is set to revolutionize the gaming and productivity scenes, boasting a remarkable max acceleration of 70g and an advanced DPI upgrade, outperforming competing optical sensors in its class.
The mouse features Razer’s innovative Hyperscroll Tiltwheel, which intelligently switches between smooth and tactile scrolling modes on-the-fly. This is enhanced by the Smart-Reel Mode, providing an automatic transition when necessary. Additionally, Virtual Acceleration technology enables intense content scrolling, making navigation swift and effortless.
Razer proudly claims that this latest mouse is not only a powerhouse for gaming but also a reliable tool for productivity. It allows users to store per-application profiles for its 10 customizable buttons, so the button used for a smoke grenade in CS:GO can seamlessly be repurposed to save files in Excel.
Accentuating its sleek design, the mouse includes a separate RGB lighting for the Tiltwheel, as part of its impressive 11-Zone Chroma Lighting system with full underglow. However, it is specifically crafted for right-handed users and includes a non-removable multi-function trigger button.
This suite of features is present in the Basilisk V3 35K, which comes equipped with an ultra-low-resistance Speedflex Cable, priced at $79.99 and available via Razer or Amazon. Alternatively, the wireless version, the updated V3 Pro with the 35K refresh, is available for $159.99.
Both versions of the mouse take advantage of Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless technology, offering up to 140 hours of use per charge and a polling rate that can reach up to 8,000Hz. To achieve the maximum polling rate, users need to invest in the Razer Mouse Dock Pro, sold separately for $69.99, while the V3 35K requires an additional HyperPolling Wireless Dongle for enhanced performance.
