Nvidia is gearing up to launch the GeForce RTX 5090D V2, featuring the GB202-240 GPU configuration. This new variant contrasts with the GB202-250 and GB202-300 configurations found in the original GeForce RTX 5090D and GeForce RTX 5090, respectively. Despite being an affordable alternative, it retains the impressive specs of its predecessors, including 21,760 CUDA cores, 2,375 5th-generation Tensor cores, and a 575 W TDP.
Although considered slightly inferior to the existing models, the GeForce RTX 5090D V2 is generating buzz due to its strategic pricing. Initial retail listings suggest it will debut in China this week, priced between CNY 20,699 and CNY 24,999 (approximately $2,881 to $3,480) through various add-in board partners such as Colorful. Interestingly, Nvidia aims to offer the V2 at the same CNY 16,499 (around $2,296) MSRP as the original GeForce RTX 5090D, despite the changes.
