Nubia Pad Plus Wi-Fi launches with 12-inch 90Hz display, Android 16, and budget pricing
Nubia has expanded its tablet lineup in Japan with the launch of the Nubia Pad Plus Wi-Fi, an affordable Android tablet aimed at users who want a large screen, solid entertainment features, and practical productivity options without paying premium-tablet prices.
The Nubia Pad Plus Wi-Fi features a 12-inch IPS display with a 2,000 x 1,200 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. That combination should make browsing, streaming, reading, and everyday multitasking feel smoother than on basic 60Hz tablets. The large screen also makes the device a strong option for students, casual workers, and entertainment-focused users looking for a budget Android tablet with plenty of viewing space.
Powering the tablet is the Unisoc T820 chipset, also known as the Unisoc T9100. This 6nm octa-core processor is paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC4 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. While it is not positioned as a flagship gaming device, the hardware should be capable enough for everyday tasks such as video streaming, web browsing, online classes, document editing, social media, and light gaming.
Battery life is another key selling point. The Nubia Pad Plus Wi-Fi packs an 8,000mAh battery with support for 26W wired fast charging. Nubia says the tablet can deliver up to 7.6 hours of video playback or up to 9.5 hours of web browsing on a single charge. However, buyers should note that a charging adapter is not included in the box.

In Japan, the Nubia Pad Plus Wi-Fi is priced at JPY 39,800, which is approximately $249. Nubia is also offering an optional keyboard with a touchpad for JPY 9,800, around $61. For buyers who want both accessories together, a limited-quantity bundle including the tablet and keyboard is available for JPY 42,800, or about $268.
