The Nubia Neo series has steadily gained a foothold in ZTE’s smartphone lineup, appealing to those who seek reliable performance and outstanding battery life without venturing into premium pricing territory. Positioned between ZTE’s budget models and the advanced RedMagic gaming phones, the Nubia Neo has found its sweet spot among mid-range phone enthusiasts.
The excitement surrounding this series heightens as the Nubia Neo 3 is anticipated to be unveiled soon. Recent leaks reveal that both 4G and 5G variants have appeared on the Google Play Console Supported Devices List, suggesting that their release is just around the corner. These sightings occur nearly a year after the Nubia Neo 2 5G debuted in February 2024. The models bear the designations ‘Z2461’ for the 4G model and ‘Z2464N’ for the 5G version, with their respective codenames ‘P720F10’ and ‘P780F01.’
While the specifics of the Nubia Neo 3 are still under wraps, looking back at the Nubia Neo 2 gives us a glimpse of what might be on the table. The previous iteration boasted a 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen with a refreshing 120Hz rate. It was fueled by the Unisoc T820 chipset, complemented by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The dual-camera setup featured a 50MP main shooter accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor, with a 16MP camera on the front for selfies.
For the Neo 3, enthusiasts are expecting enhancements in its processing power, camera technology, and perhaps battery efficiency. With the Neo 2 already offering a massive 6000mAh battery and 33W fast charging, it will be intriguing to see how Nubia plans to elevate this.
