Nubby’s Number Factory, the offbeat cult roguelike that built a loyal following on PC, has officially arrived on mobile. For the first time, iPhone and Android players can jump into the complete experience from the PC release, with the same addictive loop, quirky presentation, and “just one more run” energy that helped the game break out after launch.
Created by solo developer MogDogBlog Productions, Nubby’s Number Factory originally launched on Steam on March 7, 2025 and quickly found its audience. Many players described it as the kind of surprise hit that scratches a familiar itch while still feeling totally weird in the best way—often drawing comparisons to games known for fast runs, high randomness, and satisfying momentum. Its low price, strange art style, and strong replayability kept it in regular rotation well beyond the initial release window.
At its core, Nubby’s Number Factory is a plinko-style roguelike built around numbers, risk, and escalating pressure. You fling a round little character named Nubby down a pegboard and watch the chaos unfold as your run generates bigger and bigger totals. Every run comes with a production quota you must hit. Miss the target, and the game doesn’t just give you a slap on the wrist—the sun explodes. The tension is part of the joke, and also part of what makes each run feel urgent and rewarding.
The real hook kicks in between rounds. After each attempt, you head to a shop where you can buy items that dramatically change how your next run plays. There are more than 50 items to experiment with, including multipliers and ability-changing modifiers. The best moments come from stacking unexpected combinations and discovering synergies that turn an average run into an absurdly powerful one. That constant chase for the perfect build is what gives the game its staying power.
Mobile players are also getting the expanded content from the game’s major 1.4 update right from the start. That includes a perk system, special rounds, and a separate challenge mode called Nubby Trials, helping the phone versions land with the same depth and replay value PC fans have been enjoying.
The mobile launch didn’t happen overnight, either. The developer initially aimed for a December 2025 release, but ultimately delayed it to avoid shipping an incomplete port. Instead, the decision was made to wait until the full 1.4 content was ready and properly brought over to mobile. By late February 2026, the game was finished and simply waiting on storefront approval to go live.
As for pricing, Nubby’s Number Factory is a paid download at $4.99 on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, matching the PC price point. There’s also a free lite version for players who want to try it first. Importantly, the developer has confirmed that neither version includes third-party ads or microtransactions, making it a straightforward premium game you can play without interruptions or extra spending pressure.
For anyone searching for a mobile roguelike that feels different—fast, funny, tense, and dangerously replayable—Nubby’s Number Factory landing on iOS and Android is worth paying attention to.
