Nitecore recently introduced its innovative NB Air power bank at the IWA 2025 event in Germany, and it’s already capturing attention for its size and weight. This ultralight gadget tips the scales at a mere 3.2 ounces, yet its robust carbon fiber casing promises durability. Designed for convenience, it stands only 0.4 inches tall, making it an ideal fit for either the palm of your hand or a discreet pocket.
The NB Air power bank comes equipped with a set of four blue LED indicators, allowing users to easily check battery levels with a simple button press. Its versatile USB Type-C port supports both charging of the power bank and transferring power to other devices. While the NB Air is compact, its capacity should not be underestimated. It boasts a 19.4 watt-hour capacity, roughly equivalent to 5,000mAh at 3.88 volts, surpassing the standard capacity of similar batteries which typically range between 18 and 18.4 watt-hours.
This makes the NB Air suitable for recharging medium-sized smartphones, accommodating the needs of users on the go. Nitecore traditionally provides additional specifications, such as the “rated capacity” or “rated energy” at 5 volts, though this particular power bank’s detailed spec sheet has yet to be released. Set to hit the shelves in March 2025, pricing details are still under wraps.
In addition to the NB Air, Nitecore is gearing up to introduce a new USB-C cable featuring a unique design. This accessory will have magnetic plugs that allow attachment to a keychain, along with protective caps to safeguard the USB connectors from dirt and grime. While specifics about this cable, including its pricing, weren’t disclosed at the IWA event, anticipation continues to build for this innovative offering.
