Nintendo Unveils Complimentary Switch 2 Enhancements for First-Party Games

Nintendo has finally unveiled the exciting details surrounding the first batch of Nintendo Switch games getting free upgrades for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Set to launch on June 5th, the new console will be priced at $449.99 in the USA, 49,980 yen for the Japan region-locked version, 69,980 yen for the Japan region-free, and €469.99 in Europe.

Here’s what you can expect from the newly upgraded games:

ARMS will receive a major boost with enhanced visuals optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2’s display and high-resolution TVs, along with improved frame rates for smoother gameplay. HDR support will add more vibrancy to in-game action.

In Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain, party mode allows up to four players to join the fun, with options to share gameplay locally or online through GameChat.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will benefit from visual upgrades and HDR support, providing a richer experience on the new console. GameShare will enable two players to enjoy all the courses together, both locally and online.

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics will support up to four players across 34 games, with easy sharing options via GameChat to connect with friends near or far.

Game Builder Garage is getting visual enhancements and supports the new Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, making it even more intuitive to create your own games.

New Super Mario Bros.™ U Deluxe will look sharper than ever with visuals optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing new life to this classic platformer.

Pokémon fans have something to look forward to as well, with both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet receiving upgrades that enhance visuals and frame rates for a smoother, more vivid adventure.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will feature improved graphics and frame rates, with HDR support exclusive to Bowser’s Fury. GameShare allows for collaborative play, with up to four players in Super Mario 3D World and two players in Bowser’s Fury.

Super Mario Odyssey will shine with upgraded visuals and HDR support. Players can share the adventure with a friend, as one takes control of Mario while the other commands Cappy, either locally or through GameChat.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will both enjoy stunning visual upgrades and HDR support, promising an even more immersive experience.
