MSI Unveils the Power of Claw 8 Ryzen Edition with AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme in Preview Video

The new Ryzen Z2 Extreme is proving to be a powerhouse, outperforming its predecessor at 12 watts. However, it falls just behind the regular Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which powers gaming handhelds like the Aokzoe A1X and the OneXFly F1 Pro. When it comes to higher wattages, the Ryzen Z2 Extreme closely matches the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 but offers better power efficiency due to having fewer CPU cores and no NPU.

A challenge arises in comparing the performance of the new Claw 8 Ryzen Edition against the Claw 8 AI+, as benchmarks for the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V were done using older drivers. For now, the Core Ultra 7 258V seems to be more efficient at lower wattages.
