MSI is expanding its home networking lineup with the Roamii BE Pro Mesh System, a new Wi‑Fi mesh kit built to deliver fast, stable wireless coverage across large homes. Designed for bigger apartments and multi-storey houses, the Roamii BE Pro uses at least two router nodes working together to reduce dead zones and keep connections consistent as you move from room to room.
According to MSI, a two-unit setup can cover up to around 560 m² (about 6,000 sq ft) and handle as many as 200 connected devices at once. Actual performance will depend on factors like wall materials, layout, and interference, but the goal is clear: reliable whole-home coverage without the usual drop-offs you see with a single router.
A major selling point is true Wi‑Fi 7 support, including access to the 6 GHz band alongside the familiar 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. MSI lists a maximum combined wireless throughput of up to 11 Gbit/s across all bands, positioning the Roamii BE Pro for high-demand households with lots of streaming, gaming, smart home devices, and work-from-home traffic happening at the same time.
The system also supports Multi-Link Operation (MLO), a key Wi‑Fi 7 feature that lets compatible devices connect using multiple bands simultaneously. In practical terms, this can improve speeds, cut latency, and make connections more resilient—especially in busy environments where one band might be congested.
To keep devices connected to the best possible node, MSI includes adaptive roaming. This helps phones, laptops, and other clients switch smoothly between mesh points and choose the most suitable band, aiming to maintain strong performance as you move around the home.
For backhaul—the connection between the two router nodes—you can go wireless, or you can use a wired setup. Each unit includes four 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports, which is especially useful if your home already has Ethernet in place. A wired backhaul can improve mesh stability and free up wireless capacity for your devices. Those multi-gig ports also make the system a better fit for faster wired connections to PCs, game consoles, or NAS storage.
On the design side, each Roamii BE Pro unit uses internal antennas and includes customizable RGB lighting. Management is handled through an app, making it easier to set up the mesh, adjust settings, and monitor devices without digging through complicated menus.
The MSI Roamii BE Pro Mesh System is available now for around $350, and MSI is also offering a more affordable alternative called the Roamii BE Lite for shoppers who want a lower-cost option.
