Motorola Edge 70 Neo India Launch Confirmed as Geekbench Reveals Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Performance
Motorola is preparing to expand its Edge 70 lineup in India with the upcoming launch of the Motorola Edge 70 Neo. The company has officially confirmed that the smartphone is headed to the Indian market, although the exact launch date, pricing, and full specifications have not yet been announced.
Ahead of its debut, the Motorola Edge 70 Neo has appeared on Geekbench 7, giving an early look at what users can expect in terms of performance. According to the benchmark listing, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, a mid-range processor built on a 4nm process. This chip is designed to offer a balance of power efficiency and everyday performance, making it suitable for gaming, multitasking, streaming, and regular smartphone use.
The Geekbench listing also shows that the tested Motorola Edge 70 Neo unit runs Android 16 and comes with 6GB of RAM. In benchmark testing, the phone scored 723 points in the single-core test and 2,943 points in the multi-core test. These numbers suggest that Motorola is positioning the Edge 70 Neo as a capable mid-range smartphone for buyers who want reliable performance without moving into premium flagship pricing.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is also used in other models within Motorola’s Edge 70 series, which indicates that the company may be aiming for consistent performance across multiple devices in the lineup. While the Edge 70 Neo is expected to sit below higher-end models, the use of this chipset could make it an appealing option in India’s competitive mid-range smartphone segment.
Motorola has also recently introduced the Edge 70 Plus in select markets. That model comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a 200MP rear camera, and a 32MP front-facing camera. It is also powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor and includes a large 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. In the UK, the Edge 70 Plus is priced at £529.99, which is roughly $716.
While the Motorola Edge 70 Neo’s complete feature list is still under wraps, the Geekbench appearance confirms some key details. With Android 16, 6GB of RAM, and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, the phone could be targeted at users looking for a modern Android experience, smooth app performance, and improved battery efficiency.
More information about the Motorola Edge 70 Neo India launch is expected soon, including its display specifications, camera setup, battery capacity, charging speed, storage options, and official price. If Motorola prices it aggressively, the Edge 70 Neo could become a strong contender among upcoming mid-range smartphones in India.
