Motorola’s 5.99mm-thin Moto X70 Air packs a big battery and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 power

Motorola Moto X70 Air debuts with triple 50 MP cameras, under-display fingerprint sensor, and Android 16

Motorola is gearing up to launch a compelling mid-range contender, the Moto X70 Air, blending premium camera hardware with a sleek, modern design. The phone hides its fingerprint sensor beneath the display for a clean, uninterrupted look, and it ships with Android 16 out of the box.

Photography takes center stage. Up front is a 50 MP selfie camera, while the back features a trio of 50 MP sensors. The main rear camera uses a relatively large 1/1.4-inch sensor paired with optical image stabilization, a combo designed to improve low-light performance and deliver sharper, steadier shots and video. With 50 MP resolution on every camera, the Moto X70 Air clearly targets users who value high-detail imaging on both front and rear lenses.

On the software side, the device launches with Android 16. However, the company has not yet shared details about its software update policy, including how many years of Android upgrades or security patches buyers can expect.

Price and availability add to the anticipation. The Moto X70 Air arrives in China on October 31 with two storage choices: 256 GB or 512 GB of internal flash storage. Pricing has not been announced. The smartphone will roll out in Europe on November 5 under a different name: Motorola Edge 70.

If you’re looking for a mid-range phone with a flagship-leaning camera setup, an under-display fingerprint reader, and the latest Android version, the Moto X70 Air is one to watch. Keep an eye out for final pricing and regional configurations as launch dates approach.
