Motorola Unveils a Global Foldable Phone Featuring Dual 50MP Cameras

Motorola is widening the global rollout of its latest foldable phone, the Razr 70 Plus, bringing a familiar Razr design with some notable upgrades where it counts most: battery capacity and camera hardware.

At first glance, the Razr 70 Plus sticks closely to what foldable fans have come to expect from Motorola. It retains a large 4-inch cover screen for quick actions and notifications, along with a 6.9-inch foldable inner display for full-size browsing, streaming, and multitasking. This combination continues to be a major selling point for anyone who wants flagship-style usability in a pocket-friendly flip form factor.

Charging is also keeping pace with modern premium phones. Motorola once again includes 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, but the bigger news is the battery behind it. The Razr 70 Plus now packs a 4,500mAh battery, up from the 4,000mAh capacity used in the Razr Plus 2025. For everyday owners, that boost could translate into more screen time on both displays and less anxiety about making it through a full day—especially important on foldables, where big screens can be power-hungry.

Camera upgrades are another headline feature. The Razr 70 Plus comes with a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide camera offering a 122-degree field of view, and a 32MP camera on the inner display for selfies and video calls. This setup suggests Motorola is aiming for more versatility, giving users a high-resolution wide option alongside the main sensor, plus a solid front-facing camera when the phone is open.

As for pricing and availability, Motorola has set the Razr 70 Plus at €1,149 in the Eurozone for the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The company also confirmed the phone will be offered in a single color option: Pantone Mountain View finish.

With its larger battery, premium charging speeds, and refreshed camera lineup—while keeping the popular dual-display formula—Motorola’s Razr 70 Plus looks positioned to compete strongly in the high-end foldable smartphone market for buyers who want a flip phone that doesn’t feel like a compromise.
