Motorola has officially pulled the curtain back on the Razr Fold at CES 2026, marking the company’s biggest foldable launch yet. Designed as a serious rival to flagship book-style foldables from Samsung and Google, the Razr Fold aims to stand out with two large displays, a triple 50 MP camera system, and a premium finish that leans heavily into style.
The Razr Fold arrives in two Pantone-certified colors: Blackened Blue and Lily White. Motorola is keeping several core specs under wraps for now, including the exact chipset powering the phone and its battery capacity. Even so, the details confirmed so far paint a clear picture: this is Motorola’s first true book-style foldable built for the top tier.
Up front, the Razr Fold includes a big 6.6-inch cover display, giving it plenty of usable screen space even when closed. Open it up and you’re met with an 8.1-inch internal display intended for productivity, multitasking, and media. Early impressions suggest the inner panel looks relatively crease-free compared to what many buyers have come to expect from foldables, which could be a major selling point for anyone who’s been hesitant about visible fold lines.
Photography is another major focus. Motorola is equipping the Razr Fold with three 50 MP rear cameras, led by a Sony Lytia primary sensor with optical image stabilization for sharper shots and better low-light performance. The ultra-wide camera is confirmed at a 12 mm equivalent focal length, while the telephoto sits at 71 mm equivalent, translating to a 3x optical zoom for cleaner portrait-style framing and more detailed zoomed shots without relying heavily on digital cropping.
For selfies and video calls, Motorola includes a 32 MP camera on the cover side and a 20 MP camera on the internal display, giving users options depending on whether the phone is open or closed.
As for release timing, Motorola says the Razr Fold is expected to launch this summer. That window is notable because it could put the Razr Fold into direct competition with the next generation of major foldables expected later in the year, rather than only battling today’s models. If Motorola delivers competitive performance and battery life to match the screen and camera ambitions, the Razr Fold could quickly become one of the most talked-about foldable phones of 2026.
