Motorola Moto G Max debuts with a massive 7,000 mAh battery and 50MP Sony camera
Motorola has introduced the Moto G Max, a new mid-range smartphone aimed at users who want long battery life, reliable cameras, and practical everyday features without stepping into flagship pricing. The highlight of the device is its huge 7,000 mAh battery, which Motorola says is designed to deliver more than two days of use on a single charge.
For users who are tired of charging their phone every night, the Moto G Max could be an appealing option. The large battery supports USB-C charging at up to 30 watts, giving the phone a solid balance between endurance and charging speed.
On the camera side, the Motorola Moto G Max comes with a 50-megapixel main camera featuring an f/1.8 aperture and a Sony LYT-600 sensor. This setup should help the phone capture brighter and more detailed images in everyday shooting conditions. The main camera is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, giving users more flexibility for landscapes, group photos, and wider scenes.
For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. That makes the Moto G Max a promising choice for users who frequently use social media, take portraits, or attend online meetings.
Motorola has also included several useful connectivity and convenience features. The Moto G Max supports dual SIM cards, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS. It also keeps the 3.5 mm headphone jack, which remains a welcome feature for users who prefer wired earphones or want an easy way to connect to speakers and car audio systems.
However, one notable omission is NFC. This means the Moto G Max may not support contactless payments in markets where NFC-based mobile payments are common.
Software support is another key part of the package. Motorola promises two major Android updates along with three years of security patches. While not the longest update policy in the industry, it gives buyers a reasonable level of software confidence for a mid-range device.
The Motorola Moto G Max will launch first in India. It will be available in a single configuration with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The official price is ₹27,999, which is approximately $290.
Buyers will be able to choose from three color options: Pantone Stargazer, a dark blue finish; Pantone Malaga, a pink option; and Pantone Alaskan Blue, a lighter blue shade.
With its enormous 7,000 mAh battery, 50MP Sony main camera, 32MP selfie camera, and practical features like dual-SIM support and a headphone jack, the Motorola Moto G Max is positioned as a strong mid-range smartphone for users who prioritize battery life, camera performance, and everyday reliability.
