Motorola is getting ready to take the wraps off its next mid-range contender, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, and the company has already confirmed it will be showcased at MWC 2026 starting March 2. Ahead of that global spotlight, Motorola is also teasing an earlier launch for India, with a reveal date set for February 28.
Early official teasers posted on Flipkart have started to paint a clear picture of what the Edge 70 Fusion will offer, with a big focus on camera upgrades, a high-end display experience, and a notably large battery in a slim body.
A Sony LYT-710 camera leads the Edge 70 Fusion highlights
One of the biggest attention-grabbers is the main rear camera. Motorola says the Edge 70 Fusion will be among the first smartphones to feature the Sony LYT-710 sensor. The primary camera is a 50MP unit with optical image stabilization (OIS), and it’s part of a triple-camera setup on the back.
While Motorola hasn’t shared the full technical breakdown of the LYT-710 sensor yet, the company is already positioning it as a strong low-light performer, promising “ultra-clear” night shots and “brighter” highlights for video recording. If those claims translate into real-world performance, the Edge 70 Fusion could stand out in the increasingly competitive mid-range camera category.
For selfies, Motorola has confirmed a 32MP front-facing camera.
Quad-curved 1.5K display with 144Hz and extreme brightness
Motorola is also leaning hard into display quality this time. The Edge 70 Fusion is confirmed to feature a quad-curved “1.5K” screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and an impressive 96.2% screen-to-body ratio.
Brightness is another standout spec: Motorola claims a peak rating of 5,200 nits. Combined with HDR10+ and a high refresh rate, the phone is clearly targeting users who care about smooth scrolling, gaming fluidity, and strong outdoor visibility.
7,000mAh battery, 68W charging, and a slim 7.99mm design
Battery life could be one of the Edge 70 Fusion’s biggest selling points. Motorola has confirmed a massive 7,000mAh battery paired with 68W fast charging. That combination suggests the phone is aiming to deliver long endurance without making charging a pain.
Interestingly, Motorola says it’s using a silicon-carbon battery, which helps keep the phone thin despite the large capacity. The Edge 70 Fusion is claimed to measure just 7.99mm in thickness, which is notable for a device carrying a 7,000mAh cell.
Design details: fabric finish and Pantone color options
Beyond specs, Motorola has already confirmed some design touches. The Edge 70 Fusion will feature a fabric finish on the back and will be offered in multiple Pantone colorways—an approach that’s become a recognizable part of Motorola’s recent design identity.
Expected performance: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 (leak)
Although not officially confirmed in the teasers, a recent leak suggests the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. If accurate, this would position the phone as a serious mid-range competitor in markets where it will face similarly specced rivals.
More details expected before the February 28 launch
With the February 28 India reveal approaching and MWC 2026 right after, more official information should surface soon—potentially including pricing, storage variants, regional availability, and full camera specifications. For now, Motorola’s teasers make one thing clear: the Edge 70 Fusion is being built around a premium-style display, an upgraded Sony camera sensor, and a huge battery in a surprisingly slim body.
