Mistfall Hunter Release Date Confirmed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, Open Beta Begins June 14
Bellring Games has confirmed that Mistfall Hunter, its dark fantasy PvPvE extraction RPG, will launch on July 29 for Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Before the full release, players will be able to jump into an open beta starting June 14, giving the community an early look at its tense mix of cooperative combat, class-based builds, and high-risk extraction gameplay.
Set within the eerie and dangerous Gyldenmist, Mistfall Hunter casts players as Gyldhunters, warriors who enter the fog in search of valuable rewards while facing terrifying corrupted creatures and rival players. The game can be played solo or in three-player squads, creating a constant sense of danger as every mission becomes a race to survive, gather loot, and escape before the mist claims you.
The latest reveal also introduces one of the game’s standout classes: the Withered Knight.
The Withered Knight brings tragic honor to the battlefield
The Withered Knight was once part of the Rose Knights of the Kingdom of Gaenaria, an order known for ceremony, loyalty, and golden armor. But after being exiled to the North, these former knights became known as the Withered Knights. Their armor is battered, their reputation broken, and their honor questioned, but their faith remains unshaken.
In Mistfall Hunter, the Withered Knight enters combat with a massive two-handed greatsword and a playstyle built around patience, timing, and control. Thanks to the weapon’s long reach, this class rewards players who understand spacing and know when to strike. Instead of simply relying on brute force, the Withered Knight uses a powerful sigil-based combat system that lets players mark enemies and unleash devastating follow-up attacks at the right moment.
The class is designed for players who enjoy tactical melee combat, battlefield disruption, and turning defensive plays into punishing counterattacks.
Key abilities of the Withered Knight
Withering Sigils and Reckoning allow the Withered Knight to mark enemies during battle, then detonate those marks for added damage and control. This gives the class a strong setup-and-payoff rhythm that can change the flow of a fight.
Parry gives skilled players a precision defensive option. A poorly timed parry can leave the Withered Knight vulnerable, but a perfectly timed one can reverse momentum and punish aggressive enemies.
Thorn Guide acts as a grappling ability, pulling enemies out of position. This makes it useful for breaking up enemy formations, isolating dangerous targets, or setting up teammates for a quick finish.
Withering Talent is the class’s core mechanic, giving players flexibility in how they approach combat. Some builds may focus on wearing enemies down through constant pressure, while others may be built around explosive moments that shatter enemy lines.
A strong addition to team-based extraction gameplay
The Withered Knight joins a growing roster of classes that includes the Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, and Seer. Each class appears to bring its own role to the dangerous world of Mistfall Hunter, and the Withered Knight fits naturally as a frontline disruptor, crowd-control specialist, and tempo-setter for three-player squads.
In team play, the class can pull enemies into bad positions, interrupt formations, and create openings for allies. Mistfall Hunter open beta dates and platforms
The Mistfall Hunter open beta begins on June 14 at 6:00 PM PT and runs until June 22 at 3:00 AM PT. It will be available across Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
This beta will give players the first broad opportunity to experience the game’s three-player co-op extraction loop before launch. Players will be able to test different classes, explore the dark fantasy setting, fight hostile creatures, face rival hunters, and attempt to escape with their rewards intact.
