Minisforum NAB9S Launches Globally With Intel Core i9 Power, 32GB RAM Option, and Compact Design
Minisforum has introduced a new compact desktop PC for global buyers, and it is aimed at users who want strong performance in a small footprint. The new Minisforum NAB9S joins the company’s EliteMini lineup with an Intel Core i9 processor, multiple high-speed ports, dual Ethernet connectivity, and a starting price under $400 for the barebones version.
The Minisforum NAB9S is a small but capable mini PC measuring 127 x 127.5 x 54.7 mm and weighing around 570 grams. Despite its compact size, it is built to handle productivity workloads, multitasking, media use, office setups, and lightweight workstation tasks.
At the center of the NAB9S is Intel’s Core i9-13900HK processor. This chip replaces the Core i9-12900HK used in earlier NAB9 models and should deliver better single-core performance thanks to higher boost speeds on its performance cores. While the improvement is not a massive generational leap, it gives the NAB9S an edge for everyday responsiveness, app launching, office software, browsing with many tabs, and other CPU-focused tasks.
Minisforum is also promoting an upgraded cooling system for the NAB9S. The new thermal design uses dual heat pipes and dual airflow channels, which should help the compact system maintain more stable performance under heavier workloads. Cooling is especially important in mini PCs, where limited internal space can make heat management more challenging.
One of the biggest highlights of the Minisforum NAB9S is its connectivity. The mini PC includes dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, making it a useful choice for users who need faster wired networking, home server setups, firewall applications, network storage access, or reliable office connectivity.

For memory and storage, the Minisforum NAB9S uses DDR4 RAM and includes two drive slots. Buyers can choose the barebones model and add their own RAM and storage, or purchase a preconfigured version with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Pricing starts at $399 for the barebones model in the United States. Regional pricing is listed at around JPY 69,599, €429, and £369. A fully configured model with 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD is priced at $759.
Overall, the Minisforum NAB9S looks like a practical upgrade for users who want a powerful mini PC with a Core i9 processor, strong wired networking, and a compact chassis. It may not be the best choice for users who need USB4 or OCuLink support, but for office productivity, multitasking, media setups, and compact desktop workstations, it offers a strong mix of performance and connectivity at a competitive starting price.
