According to insider insights, MediaTek is pitching special pricing to Samsung with the aim of integrating more of its chips into various Galaxy models. Currently, Samsung depends on both its internal resources and external suppliers such as Qualcomm and MediaTek to furnish its diverse product range with the necessary chipsets.
Exclusive Deals Could Mean MediaTek Chips in More Samsung Phones
The incentive from MediaTek is designed to persuade Samsung to incorporate its processors into more Galaxy devices, specifically the non-flagship category. While MediaTek is attempting to position its chipsets as a more prevalent component within Samsung’s portfolio, the tech giant maintains a unique relationship with Qualcomm. Samsung’s exclusivity with the American chip maker results in access to specially tuned versions of flagship Qualcomm chipsets.
