Mangmi is continuing its slow-but-steady reveal of the Pocket Max gaming handheld, and the latest teaser focuses on something many buyers care about just as much as specs: color options. After recently showing off the handheld’s design and confirming key display details, the company has now shared new images that reveal two additional Pocket Max colorways alongside the previously confirmed Black model.
The Mangmi Pocket Max is now set to launch in three finishes: Black, White, and Retro GB. Across all three versions, Mangmi is sticking with a premium-looking front design, featuring a glass face that extends past the edges of the display for a sleek, modern appearance.
Each color also comes with its own visual personality. The Black Pocket Max keeps things cohesive with matching black buttons and triggers, while the action buttons stand out with orange markings for a subtle gaming flair. The White version follows the same idea, pairing matching controls with the same orange-accented action button markings. The Retro GB model, meanwhile, leans harder into nostalgia, echoing the vibe of the company’s earlier Retro GB styling: it uses black thumbsticks, while the D-pad, triggers, and shoulder buttons shift to a burgundy tone for a distinct retro-inspired contrast.
While Mangmi hasn’t yet confirmed the full hardware stack, it has locked in the display specs—and they’re clearly aimed at gamers who care about motion clarity and color. The Pocket Max will feature a 7-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a Full HD resolution. Mangmi also reports HDR support, a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 155% sRGB color gamut, suggesting punchy colors and deep blacks that should suit everything from fast-paced action games to cinematic titles.
For now, details like the processor, RAM, storage, and battery capacity remain under wraps. If Mangmi keeps the same drip-feed approach, more specifications should arrive over time, though it’s still unclear whether the company will share the complete picture before the end of 2025 or if final details will spill into 2026.
