MAINGEAR is refreshing its popular MG-1 desktop lineup with Intel’s newest Core Ultra 200S Plus processors, giving PC buyers more options to build a high-performance gaming and productivity setup without starting from scratch. With Intel’s latest chips arriving just days ago, MAINGEAR has already added them to its configurator, making it easy to pair these new CPUs with NVIDIA’s powerful RTX 50 series graphics cards.
The update brings two new Intel processor choices to MAINGEAR’s custom desktop menu: the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. These new options join MAINGEAR’s existing selection of modern platforms, expanding the choices for gamers, creators, and power users who want a pre-built system tuned for high frame rates, fast workflow performance, and current-generation connectivity.
MAINGEAR’s MG-1 lineup will roll out in three preset configurations, each combining Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus CPUs with RTX 50 series GPUs. The entry model is the MG-1 Emerald, which pairs the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus with the GeForce RTX 5070, targeting players who want strong 1440p gaming performance along with capable multitasking for streaming, editing, and content creation. This build comes housed in MAINGEAR’s black MG-1 mid-tower and includes pre-installed 120mm RGB fans and an MAINGEAR EPIC 360 AIO liquid cooler designed to keep CPU temperatures under control during long gaming sessions or heavy workloads. It also features an MSI Z890 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard to support the new Intel platform and modern wireless networking.
Across the board, MAINGEAR is standardizing a generous memory and storage setup to help buyers hit the ground running. Each system includes 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD, a combination that’s well-suited for today’s larger game installs, faster load times, and demanding creative applications.
Stepping up the stack is the MG-1 Sapphire, aimed at enthusiasts who want more graphics horsepower. It upgrades to the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and pairs it with the GeForce RTX 5080, a combination built for higher settings, smoother frame rates, and heavier GPU-accelerated workloads.
At the top is the MG-1 Amethyst, MAINGEAR’s flagship configuration. It keeps the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus but upgrades the graphics card to the GeForce RTX 5090, targeting buyers who want extreme gaming performance and the kind of GPU headroom that can push very high frame rates. This model also increases power capacity with a higher-wattage MSI 1250W 80+ Gold power supply, supporting the demands of a top-tier GPU configuration.
All three MAINGEAR MG-1 desktops are available now with the following starting prices:
MG-1 Emerald: $2,549
MG-1 Sapphire: $3,549
MG-1 Amethyst: $5,199
