Lisuan Technologies is getting ready to make a notable entry into China’s gaming graphics card market. The company has confirmed that its Lisuan 7G100 gaming GPU is set to launch in China on May 20, and it’s being positioned as China’s first fully domestic 6nm graphics card aimed at gamers. What makes this launch especially significant is that the 7G100’s drivers have earned Microsoft WHQL certification, a milestone that signals broader compatibility and a more polished software experience than many earlier domestic GPU efforts.
WHQL certification matters because it’s closely tied to driver reliability and smoother support inside Windows. For PC gamers, that typically translates into fewer installation headaches, better baseline stability, and improved game compatibility. Lisuan says this step also reflects major progress for homegrown GPU development, and it’s presenting the 7G100 as a clear jump forward in overall software and game support compared with previous domestic graphics cards and earlier driver releases.
Ahead of the May debut, Lisuan has also shown the card is already in full production and undergoing thorough testing at its factory, suggesting the company is preparing for a proper retail push rather than a limited tech demo release.
On the hardware side, the gaming-focused model is branded as the Lisuan Extreme “LX 7G100” and is built around the 6nm 7G106 GPU. It comes equipped with 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit interface and supports PCIe 4.0 x16. Other listed specs include 192 TMUs and 96 ROPs, with a maximum rated power draw of 225W supplied through a single 8-pin power connector.
The cooler design follows the familiar high-performance layout seen on many modern gaming GPUs: a triple-slot card with a three-fan setup under a top grill. For display output, it includes four DisplayPort 1.4a ports. Lisuan is also advertising support for up to 8K at 60Hz with HDR and FreeSync, along with media features such as AV1 encode at up to 4K 30 FPS, HEVC encode up to 8K 30 FPS, and AVI/HEVC decode up to 8K 60 FPS.
API support is also positioned as “modern PC-ready,” including DirectX 12, Vulkan 1.3, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 3.0. That combination is essential for running today’s game engines and ensuring compatibility across a wide range of PC titles.
One of the biggest talking points is game readiness. Lisuan claims out-of-the-box support for a lineup of popular AAA releases, naming titles like Baldur’s Gate III, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Black Myth: Wukong, The Witcher III, Monster Hunter RISE, Resident Evil 4, and Sekiro. If delivered as promised, that level of immediate game support would be a meaningful differentiator for a domestically produced GPU, because driver maturity and game compatibility are often the hardest hurdles for new graphics platforms.
As for performance, early indications place the 7G100 in the neighborhood of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060. However, it’s important to note that these estimates are based on prior demos that relied on synthetic tests such as Geekbench OpenCL and 3DMark, not a broad set of real-world gaming benchmarks. Final performance will be clearer once independent gaming tests and extended driver evaluations become available after launch.
Lisuan also says its broader LX-series graphics cards are being built with wide platform compatibility in mind. Reported CPU support spans Intel and AMD platforms as well as several domestic x86 and ARM ecosystem players such as Hygon, Loongson, Phytium, and Zhaoxin. Operating system support is listed as Windows, UOS, Ubuntu, and Kylinsoft, reinforcing the idea that these GPUs are intended for more than just mainstream Windows gaming.
In terms of availability, the retail launch target remains May 20 in China. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but Lisuan has confirmed the card will be offered in a special Founders Edition model. With China accelerating domestic development for gaming, general-purpose computing, and AI workloads, the 7G100’s release could be a key moment for the local GPU market—especially if WHQL-certified drivers and promised AAA support translate into a smooth day-one experience for gamers.
