LG Launches Xboom Buds Lite and Xboom Buds Plus: New Earbuds Hit the Market

LG’s newest true wireless earbuds, the Xboom Buds Lite and Xboom Buds Plus ANC, are now available to buy after being introduced in September 2025. Designed to deliver bold, modern sound in a compact package, both models feature audio tuning by musician will.i.am. and aim to balance punchy bass with crisp, detailed highs.

Pricing is positioned for two different buyers. The LG Xboom Buds Lite lists for $69.99, making it the more budget-friendly option, while the LG Xboom Buds Plus ANC comes in at $179.99 for shoppers who want a more premium feature set.

Both earbuds support SBC and AAC Bluetooth audio codecs, which helps ensure broad compatibility across phones, tablets, and computers. They also offer multipoint connectivity, meaning you can stay connected to up to two devices at once—useful for switching between a laptop and a smartphone without constantly re-pairing. For everyday durability, each model carries an IPX4 water-resistance rating to better handle sweat and light splashes.

At the core of the sound are 10 mm graphene-coated drivers. LG’s goal here is stronger performance across the frequency range, with the company highlighting impactful low-end response alongside clear treble. An adaptive EQ mode is also included to help optimize the sound output based on what you’re listening to.

Where the two models begin to separate is in premium audio and convenience features. The Xboom Buds Plus ANC includes a 6-microphone noise-cancelling system, adds Auracast support, and is built around a different battery strategy: the earbuds are rated for up to 10 hours of playback, compared to up to 11.5 hours on the Buds Lite.

The Buds Plus package also includes a more advanced charging case. It features a built-in UV disinfection light, supports wireless recharging, and can function as a Bluetooth audio transmitter for 3.5 mm sources—handy for connecting the earbuds to devices that don’t offer Bluetooth, such as certain in-flight entertainment systems or older audio gear.

With the Xboom Buds Lite focusing on value and long listening time, and the Xboom Buds Plus ANC leaning into noise cancellation, Auracast, and a feature-packed transmitter case, LG is clearly targeting both budget shoppers and buyers looking for a more versatile premium earbud experience.
