Lenovo is preparing to expand its Legion gaming tablet lineup with a new compact powerhouse: the Legion Y700 Ultimate. The company has released a teaser video ahead of the tablet’s expected August 2026 launch, giving an early look at some of the upgrades gamers can expect.
The biggest confirmed change is 5G connectivity. Unlike the earlier Legion Y700 (Gen 5), which launched without cellular support, the upcoming Legion Y700 Ultimate will include both a physical SIM slot and eSIM support. Lenovo also confirmed dual-SIM dual-standby functionality, making the device more flexible for players who want fast mobile data, separate networks, or a travel-friendly gaming tablet.
The teaser also points to a redesigned antenna layout, likely intended to improve signal strength and stability during gaming sessions. For a compact gaming tablet, reliable connectivity could be a major selling point, especially for cloud gaming, online multiplayer, streaming, and downloading large game files on the go.
While Lenovo has not revealed the full specification sheet yet, the company describes the Legion Y700 Ultimate as highly portable. Based on the teaser, the tablet appears to keep a similar compact form factor to its predecessor, which featured an 8.8-inch display.
