Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 IPL launches internationally with 120Hz display option and Intel Core Ultra power
Lenovo has introduced the ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 IPL in several international markets, bringing a large 16-inch business laptop with modern Intel Core Ultra processors, flexible configuration options, and a choice of display upgrades for users who want smoother visuals and better color accuracy.
The new ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 IPL is aimed at professionals, students, and everyday productivity users who need a spacious screen, reliable performance, and practical business-focused features. Lenovo is offering the laptop with multiple hardware options, allowing buyers to choose between different battery sizes, wireless standards, webcam configurations, and display panels.
One of the key highlights is the optional 16-inch 120Hz IPS display. Both available screen options use a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 1200p resolution, giving users extra vertical space compared to traditional 16:9 panels. The standard panel runs at 60Hz, reaches 400 nits of brightness, and covers 45% of the NTSC color gamut. For users who want a better viewing experience, Lenovo offers an upgraded 120Hz screen with 400 nits of brightness and 100% sRGB coverage, making it the more attractive choice for smoother scrolling, sharper motion, and more accurate colors.
Lenovo is also offering the ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 IPL with either a 48Wh or 71Wh battery, giving buyers the option to prioritize portability or longer runtime. Connectivity choices include Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7, depending on the selected configuration, which makes the laptop ready for faster and more stable wireless networking where supported.
For video calls, the laptop includes a 5MP webcam as standard. Lenovo also provides the option to switch to a 1080p camera with infrared support, enabling Windows Hello facial recognition for quicker and more secure sign-ins. An optional fingerprint reader is available as well, adding another layer of convenience for users who prefer biometric login.
Pricing for the Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 IPL starts at £1,099.99 in the UK. This entry configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. In the Eurozone, the same configuration is priced between €1,288 and €1,458, depending on the country. In Australia, the laptop starts at AUD 1,690.
Lenovo has not yet confirmed when the ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 IPL will be released in North America or what its pricing will be in that region.
With its large 16-inch display, Intel Core Ultra processor options, optional 120Hz screen, Wi-Fi 7 availability, and business-friendly security features, the ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 IPL is shaping up to be a strong choice for users who want a modern productivity laptop with a balance of performance, practicality, and upgrade flexibility.
