Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 FIFA World Cup 26 Edition Arrives in the US, But the Standard Model Looks Like the Better Deal
Lenovo has officially started selling the Legion Tab Gen 3 FIFA World Cup 26 Edition in the United States, giving football fans and mobile gamers a limited-edition version of its compact gaming tablet. The launch is part of Lenovo’s FIFA World Cup 26-themed product lineup, created through its role as an official technology partner of FIFA.
While the special edition may catch the eye of collectors, it may not be the smartest buy for most shoppers. The FIFA World Cup 26 Edition is priced at $569.99 on Lenovo’s US website, while the standard Legion Tab Gen 3 is currently available for $439.99. Even though Lenovo lists the regular model’s estimated value at $549.99, the current discount makes the standard version a much stronger value.
The main differences are cosmetic. The Legion Tab Gen 3 FIFA World Cup 26 Edition comes in white, while the standard model is black. Buyers also get FIFA World Cup 26-themed packaging, custom wallpapers, and a set of stickers. Lenovo’s product page also mentions a folio case, though it is not clear whether the case has a special FIFA design.
Beyond the color and themed extras, the hardware is identical to the regular Legion Tab Gen 3. That means buyers are paying extra mainly for the limited-edition styling and World Cup branding rather than upgraded performance.
The tablet features an 8.8-inch display with a sharp 2560 × 1600 resolution, a fast 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, and up to 900 nits of peak brightness. These specs make it well-suited for gaming, streaming, and everyday entertainment, especially for users who prefer a smaller tablet that is easier to hold than larger models.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. This combination should deliver strong performance for demanding Android games, multitasking, and media use. The tablet also includes a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP front-facing camera for video calls and casual photography.
Battery capacity is 6,550mAh, and the tablet can be charged through either of its two USB-C ports. Lenovo includes a 65W USB-C charger and a protective film in the box, just as it does with the standard edition.
Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, dual microphones, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. The Legion Tab Gen 3 originally launched with Android 14, but it has already received an Android 16 update. Lenovo has promised three major Android operating system upgrades for the device, which means it should also receive Android 17 in the future.
For fans of FIFA World Cup 26 merchandise, the special edition may have some appeal as a collectible. The white finish, branded box, stickers, and wallpapers help it stand apart from the regular model. However, for buyers focused on price and performance, the standard Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 is currently the better choice.
Since both tablets offer the same display, processor, memory, storage, cameras, battery, charging, and software support, the extra cost of the FIFA World Cup 26 Edition is difficult to justify unless the limited-edition design is the main reason for buying it. For most gamers and Android tablet shoppers, the discounted standard model delivers the same premium experience for significantly less money.
