Lenovo has started selling the ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 AMD in North America, bringing its latest 14-inch business laptop to buyers looking for a portable work machine with modern Ryzen AI performance. The new model targets professionals, students, and small business users who want a reliable ThinkPad experience in a compact design.
At launch, Lenovo is offering only one configuration in the North American market. This version comes equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI 7 345 processor, paired with 16 GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 512 GB M.2 2242 SSD. While this setup should be strong enough for everyday productivity, multitasking, video calls, office work, and light creative tasks, Lenovo is offering more powerful Ryzen AI 7 445 and Ryzen AI 7 450 variants in some other regions.
One useful feature of the ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 AMD is its storage expandability. Although the laptop ships with a 512 GB SSD, it also includes a second SSD slot that supports up to M.2 2280 drives.
