Lenovo has officially unveiled its Xiaoxin 2024 Ryzen Edition laptop series, showcasing its upcoming devices powered by AMD’s Zen4 processor. This fresh lineup is highlighted by the inclusion of the AMD Ryzen 7 8845H CPU, which is built with 8 cores and 16 threads and is equipped with a powerful Ryzen AI NPU capable of achieving up to 38 TOPs.
The Xiaoxin 2024 Ryzen Edition range, introduced to the market in China, includes the Xiaoxin 14, Pro 14, 16, and Pro 16 laptop models, alongside the Xiaoxin 27 AIO PC. These devices are all expected to feature the AMD Ryzen 7 8845H processor that boasts eight Zen4 cores and a maximum clock speed of 5.1 GHz.
Details suggest that these new devices will maintain the foundational specs from their 2023 predecessors. Reflecting on the 2023 models, the top-tier Xiaoxin Pro 16 laptop was launched with a Ryzen 7 7840HS processor alongside 1 TB of storage and 32 GB of RAM. It also featured a 2.5K display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and was initially priced at approximately $816.
Another noteworthy model from the previous lineup was the 2023 Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 Ryzen Edition. It hit the market fitted with the Ryzen 7 7840HS, 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and a 1 TB solid-state drive, and was priced at roughly $788. Both the Pro 14 and Pro 16 offered an extensive suite of connectivity options, including USB 4 and USB-C ports, which buyers can also expect in the forthcoming 2024 models.
It is significant to note that the Lenovo Xiaoxin series is tailored for the Chinese market. However, it’s common for these laptops to be available globally under different branding, such as the IdeaPad series. For instance, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 featuring a Ryzen 5 5500U processor has been seen on the international market.
